(except I never draw stuff like that so hopefully it's not like super terrible)
I can't figure out if I should color the last one or not... but I really liked how her hand ended up.

Cool Kid

Wowee! I like this one. I wanna use her in some storyboards. 

Dancing girl

I did these in like 10 minutes. But they were fun. 

There's something about people dancing- like REALLY dancing. Like not caring about what they look like, hanging out with friends dancing, that I think it really fun and spontaneous.

Holden Caulfield

I got a cintiq! This thing is great, I'm starting to wonder how I survived without one.

These are sketches of Holden Caulfield, the main character in Catcher in the Rye. He's become one of my favorite male characters in literature. I heard that girls don't usually like the book, and I could understand why. Regardless, I liked it a lot and thought it was a great read. 

A lot of people ask me why I only draw girls, and usually, especially in TV and movies, females are foils, scapegoats, or manic pixie characters that work against the males. To put it generally, that's why I like them more. In literature, especially older literature, I tend to like male characters more. I don't like most modern male characters. 

The necessity of the use of narration in a book is also another reason why I generally like males more. In TV I find that I feel like male characters tend to fall flat to their basic character traits. 

EDIT: I had no idea that JD Salinger looked like this until after I drew these; but it's pretty much exactly how I pictured Holden OMG

and I'd have her play Juliet. 

I dunno who I would want the boy to be. But I'd like to do some boards based on it.

It's been a weird day.

Bear and the Bow

Those of you who want to hear my opinions on how bad Brave was, will to your displeasure not being hearing them. There's no point in me saying what everyone else is.

What I'll say instead is what I liked about it.  I think that it's the most realistic (and good) telling of the relationship between an over protective mother and daughter. I'm glad that what Chapman originally wanted out of the movie was there, and that I think I could see what it would've been in the original. The first 5 minutes are some of the best 5 minutes of animation I think I've ever seen from Pixar. Everything from when she was little was perfect.   

Also. I'm sorry. I didn't even bother to look up a bear reference. *throws logic to the wind* 

An alternate title for this post can be: "Why Is it 3 in the Morning"

I'm 21 today! Here's a poopy drawing because I didn't have time to really think about it. 

I got lots of wonderful gifts from my friends and family!

My mom sent me 21 roses that were the most beautiful roses I've ever seen (You get to see them in the most unbeautiful setting, my cube desk). 

My friends Riyoko and Heejin made me the best sweets ever!

I also got various drawings and birthday wishes all day. Thanks you guys for making today so great :') 

Now I just have to complete my film and this year will be over!
