Animatic

It's been quite a while since I posted something, so here's the unfinished animatic for my film!

It's my first film, so I don't really have my hopes up for it to be great. I just want to focus on the actual character animation and learn what it's like to really make a film.



A LOT has changed since this animatic. I've talked to as many people as I could about it, and I've gotten great advice from all my teachers and friends. I decided to thumbnail the changes instead of re-doing the boards, just so the fixing would go by faster.

It's a rather simple idea. But the more I think about it, the more loop holes I find in the story...

Favorite Perspective Assignment

of last semester. I notice now that the shadows are slightly off. But, you don't actually know where she is, so you don't actually know how the shadows work. The assignment was to draw stairs and a reflection.

I haven't had much time to post or scan my work because I've been busy meeting great people and playing with paint! I always get distracted from the internet here. I'll try and scan some things over christmas break. Hope everyone is doing good in the meantime.

I can't wait to go home so I can re-watch some old movies with my new critical thinking skills!

I think all the compositions inside the shots of D. W. Griffith's films with Lillian Gish are splendid.

Also, here's some life drawings I did for my portfolio to get into CalArts. They're kind of embarrassing now. I need a nicer camera...
