Thinking about making this as a short short book to go along with my portfolio this year! It'd be nice to give out .
I've really been missing San Francisco lately (I think I really want to go shopping and have CONSISTENTLY cold weather ). I usually go there with my family for Christmas break. I did some thumbnails of how I feel about SF, and then I thought it would be interesting to grow up there. So there's a story!
Also, I saw her in the Library and she was pretty...but not the normal kind of pretty. So I tried to draw it.
I haven't posted in awhile because of mid-res...mid-res sucked. Not because of my drawings, apparently I can draw. It just left me feeling empty with nothing to produce. Now, let's have fun again!
Oh yeah, painting class is one of the most useful classes I've had at Calarts. Today I learned how to correctly paint forms (although I wouldn't know what that term truly meant if it wasn't for Bill perkin's Cinematography class, thanks Bill!) . This is not an example of what I learned today. Best student ever.
Also, preview sketches to show that I'm not dead (and drawing traditionally)!
This was a (failed)concept for a film that I'm pretty sure is too epic for me to handle. As much as I love all the visual development I've done for it, it's not interesting enough on its own. Although, I do think I might be able to create a few illustrations based on this concept. The character design will be used in a different story that I've decided to do for my film.
Process of elimination! Go!
just figuring out their story.
If anyone finds it interesting, when I was originally developing this idea I listened to rock/indie music with heavy acoustics and drums (and it had a really dark color scheme).
Now when I think about it I hear epic beautiful violins and instrumental sounds (and now it has a really bright color scheme).
